Lose Weight And Keep It Off
There are times when you may feel as if your plan to lose weight is impossible to achieve. You may do great the first couple of weeks, but slowly start losing your motivation. You may start to ask yourself why certain people can manage this when you can't. You have to marvel at how they manage it!
It is important to define a specific, measurable goal before you start losing weight. It does not matter what your desired end result is, whether it be one size or 50 pounds. Having a specific goal will increase your odds for success.
Write everything down to keep track of how you are doing. Check your weight only one time a week. If you weigh yourself too often, it can be a detriment to your self-esteem. Also make a diary of all of the foods you eat daily and an estimate of the calories you take in. This should include any snacks and beverages. The act of logging food often helps you focus on what you choose to eat or drink and can prevent you from making a bad, short-term decision without thinking.
Every successful and healthful weight loss plan combines reasonable exercise and a balanced eating plan. Setting aside a fixed time each week to exercise regularly will improve your stamina and energy. Find other physical exercise to do if you find the same exercises to be boring. Get together with your friends for walking, swimming, hiking or cycling. Join a dance class together to have fun and learn something new while getting in shape.
Don't leave tempting but unhealthy treats in your house. You cannot eat food that you do not have, so be sure to keep only healthy foods in your pantry that will help you remain slim. If you make it difficult to get your hands on the high calorie junk food, it will be far less appealing and you will not eat as much of it.
Use your buddies for help. They are there for this reason. If you are around people who are positive about your goals, you are more likely to succeed. Your friends can be there to motivate you when you really need it. Don't be afraid to turn to your friends when you're having a bad day.
